Privacy Policy

Your streak is your business.

Dewday is built without accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or bank connections. This policy explains what the app stores and how optional Apple services work.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Dewday iOS app and its home-screen widget. “Developer” in this policy means the publisher of Dewday. Apple’s own services are governed by Apple’s policies and terms.

2. Information stored by Dewday

To provide its features, Dewday stores information you enter or create in the app. Depending on how you use Dewday, this may include:

  • No-spend check-ins, streak dates, and amounts you choose to track.
  • Savings challenges and completed challenge slots.
  • Items and amounts for purchases you resisted.
  • Preferences such as appearance, daily baseline, reminder settings, and whether iCloud sync is enabled.
  • A small summary shared with the Dewday widget through Apple’s App Group storage on your device.

This information is stored locally in Dewday’s application container by default. It is not sent to a developer-operated server.

3. Optional iCloud sync

Users may choose to enable iCloud sync. When enabled, compatible app records are stored and synchronized through Apple CloudKit in the user’s private iCloud database. The Developer does not operate the iCloud service and does not use CloudKit to access or collect your private Dewday records.

You can turn syncing on or off from Dewday’s gear menu. A restart is required after changing the setting. Turning sync off prevents future synchronization but does not by itself delete records already stored in iCloud.

4. Notifications and widgets

If you enable reminders, Dewday asks iOS for notification permission and schedules notifications through Apple’s local notification system. Dewday does not use a developer push-notification server.

The Dewday widget reads a limited streak summary from an Apple App Group container shared between Dewday and its widget on your device.

5. Data collection, tracking, and sharing

The Developer does not collect personal data from Dewday. Dewday contains no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking. It does not sell personal data, share personal data for advertising, or track users across apps and websites.

In short: the app’s App Store privacy answer is “Data Not Collected.” Optional iCloud data stays in the user’s private Apple account rather than a developer database.

6. Retention and deletion

Local records remain on your device until you edit or remove them in Dewday, erase the app’s data, or delete the app. Because Dewday has no developer account, there is no separate server account for the Developer to delete.

If you enabled iCloud sync, you can manage Dewday’s iCloud storage through your Apple Account and iCloud storage settings. Apple controls backup retention and CloudKit under Apple’s policies.

7. Children’s privacy

Dewday is a general-audience lifestyle app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not provide social features, public profiles, or advertising.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Dewday’s features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes will be communicated where required.
