Scentory is designed to be private and offline-first. Your fragrance collection is stored on your device and, when iCloud is available, synchronized through Apple CloudKit to your private iCloud database so it is available across your devices.
We collect nothing. Scentory has no developer-operated account system, analytics, advertising, or servers. Everything you add — fragrances, photos, ratings, notes, wear logs and wishlist — is stored locally. If you are signed in to iCloud and allow Scentory to use iCloud, Apple CloudKit synchronizes this content to your private iCloud database. The developer does not receive or have access to your collection content.
iCloud sync is provided by Apple and is associated with the Apple Account signed in on your device. If iCloud is unavailable, Scentory continues to work offline and keeps your data on the device until synchronization can resume. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and iCloud terms.
When you add a photo, Scentory only accesses the specific image you choose. Photos are stored inside the app and may be synchronized to your private iCloud database with the rest of your collection.
When you tap Share, Scentory creates an image on your device and hands it to the system share sheet. What you do with it — post, message, save — is entirely your choice. Scentory sends nothing on its own.
Scentory offers an optional paid upgrade (Scentory Pro). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Scentory never receives or stores your payment details — Apple manages the transaction and your subscription.
Scentory contains no third-party SDKs, ads, or trackers. It uses only Apple's own frameworks for on-device storage, private iCloud synchronization, system sharing, and App Store purchases.
