Eos

Privacy Policy

Last updated · 2026-08-07

Eos is a Mac disk-cleaning utility that runs entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Eos does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no user accounts, no analytics or telemetry, no advertising, and no crash-reporting service.

Network access

Eos never connects to the internet. It has no networking code and makes no outbound requests of any kind. Everything it does — scanning, sizing, cleaning, uninstalling — happens locally on your Mac. If you choose “Rate & Share Feedback,” macOS opens Eos's page in the Mac App Store; Eos does not receive or collect your review.

File access

To measure and clean reclaimable space, Eos asks your permission to access your home folder using the standard macOS file picker (a requirement of the App Sandbox). This access is used only on your device to display and remove files you select. Files are moved to the Trash and can be recovered, unless you explicitly choose “Delete Permanently.” Eos never uploads, copies, or reads your files off your device.

Data storage

Eos stores a small amount of information locally on your Mac — such as your scan preferences, lifetime-freed total, and an operation log of what was cleaned — inside its own sandbox container. This never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Children's privacy

Eos does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “last updated” date.
